ABSTRACT BULAKLAK are these batch of expressive abstract paintings I made using the dried-up oil painting blobs off of my and my wife’s painting pallet turning something that almost already belongs to the trash bin into colorful flower and garden life abstracts.

As artists, we tend to use a lot of paint, as well as waste a huge sum of it when they are put out of their tubes and left out to dry. One can still use these dried on the outside oil paintings having their insides still fresh and soft. But by doing so, our brushes and other painting materials might be damaged in the process, as well as the flow of the artist painting might be disrupted.

As a way to reclaim these dried-up paint shells, I used my fingers to carve them out and slathered and squeezed and rubbed them onto cardboard boxes, having life still preserved in them, symbolized by the vibrant colors that are produced by them.
