I call these pieces made from left over paints, my REDEEMER series.
A redeemer is a person who redeems someone or something.
This process is all about redeeming these oil paints ready for the trash can, as well as the cardboard refrigerator box they were painted in. All ready to be thrown out, but instead restoring them, turning them into abstract expressions, revealing their unwillingness to die in certain demise. The lush colors scream out another world ready to be seen when combined with the paints, not randomly chosen but decided upon, stating that there is still an art to this encounter as well as beauty still to be seen.
