Seventy-Seven Skies for Armstrong is a painting I series I did back in 2012 as a tribute to Neil Armstrong shortly after his death. These night paintings were made using gouache and acrylic paint as a way to practice mixing the mediums. Most nights the stars can’t be seen with the light pollution in Metro Manila, some nights the clouds will suffice. But other nights the stars and planets are clear in the sky, and at times I also paint the coming morning, or anything seen in between.
